Truth be told, it's all my parent's fault.

I've been drawing since the age of two. I drew in the blank pages of books, on every spare piece of paper, napkins, even on the walls.  My parents allowed all of this.  They even refused to paint over my "cave drawings" so when I announced that I was changing my major in my senior year of high school from biology to art, they didn't bat an eye. Go figure.

Next, I was fortunate enough to be accepted into one of the best art schools in the country by no less than Tim Gunn, himself.  Yeah, that Tim Gunn.  I finally felt like I was at home at the Corcoran College of Art and Design. Something had to be wrong, right?  I got to create art all day under the tutelage of award-winning artists and with amazing, hungry young artists who were more than happy to explore and collaborate with me.  I was hooked.  

 

My first year I fell in love with color, my second year with type.  It was only a matter of time before I put the two together and decided I wanted to be a designer.

A BFA and 30+ years of experience later, I'm still living the dream by getting to create pieces to help businesses reach their ideal clientele through branding, web design, graphic design, and marketing.
